Snooki and Chris Christie, longtime enemies, finally met on Friday — and it was awkward.

The “Jersey Shore” cast and the New Jersey governor were both on hand at an event celebrating the Seaside Heights boardwalk reopening after the devastation of last fall’s Hurricane Sandy.
In the footage, an uncomfortable Snooki asks why Christie is standing so close to her, at which point he comically leans toward the MTV star.
Later, she tells Christie, “I just wanted to meet you, and just, hope you start to like us.”
After another awkward exchange, the two Jersey icons parted ways, at which point Snooki tells pal JWoww, “He just doesn’t like us.”
