On Sunday’s “Celebrity Apprentice: All Stars,” the competitors were tasked with producing a live 5-minute mini-soap opera that would celebrate Crystal Light Liquid.

Alec Baldwin was named project manager of the actor-heavy Team Plan B, while LaToya Jackson volunteered to lead Team Power.

The groups were responsible for writing, directing and acting in their respective productions, and Jackson immediately clashed with Omarosa over specific responsibilities and being “respectful” to each other.

“All My Children” star Susan Lucci was assigned to appear in Plan B’s presentation, while Jack Wagner of “General Hospital” was teamed up with Power.

Baldwin and company were more than excited to join ranks with Lucci, with everyone getting along well, while Jackson and Omarosa’s issues continued to drag their team down.

And when Omarosa left to tend to an alleged personal issue relating to her late fiancé, she left her group rehearsing without a key actor for their skit.

Her absence ended up being a blessing in disguise, however, as everyone worked well together once she left — and were none too pleased when she unexpectedly returned in time for the performance.

Their team took the stage first with “The Days of Crystal Light Liquid,” and involved the audience by having them try the beverage every time a “dun dun dunnnnn” sound played.

The audience seemed to enjoy the comical skit, but as Omarosa watched from the side, she took great pleasure in watching Jackson — who had lines written on her hand — mess up one of the flavor’s names.

Plan B’s “Crystal Guiding Days of Our Lights” brought the laughs as well, with Baldwin pleased that everyone “delivered.”

The Crystal Light execs, however, were mixed on both teams’ productions, noting Plan B better integrated the product but failed to adequately use Lucci, while Power seemed to use the drink as a prop, rather than make it the star of the show, and struggled with execution.

In the boardroom, Baldwin’s Plan B was declared the winner, earning him $50,000 for his breast cancer charity.

Jackson and her losing team were forced to speculate on who was to blame for their issues, and Omarosa broke down (or pretended to) for the second week in a row, defending her choice to tend to her personal matter rather than complete the task.

The original “Apprentice” contestant instead held Jackson responsible for the loss, prompting the singer to ask Donald Trump for the power, as project manager, to fire someone on her own team, but he declined.

Jackson then shocked everyone by letting Omarosa escape, and choosing to bring Dennis Rodman and Brande Roderick back into the boardroom, with Trump calling it one of the “stranger selections” in the show’s history.

The team leader explained that Rodman and Roderick both didn’t back her up when it came to Omarosa’s divisive tactics, and were part of the skit’s brand issues, and also stressed that she believed Trump wouldn’t actually fire one of his favorite contestants and had bought into her sympathy bit.

He strongly disagreed, and said “You’re fired!” to Jackson, faulting her for losing the task as project manager and failing to bring back Omarosa.

Donald Trump Fired Bret Michaels From Celebrity Apprentice: All-Stars Because He Never Wanted Him On Show?

Truth rating: 0

7:32 pm, March 11th, 2013

(RadarOnline)

Donald Trump fired Bret Michaels from “Celebrity Apprentice: All-Stars” last week because of a “nasty battle” behind the scenes, according to RadarOnline.

The webloid claims Michaels’ dismissal from the show happened because “Trump was gunning for Bret from the start.”

Why?

“Donald wanted Bret to come back as a judge on the show, which he refused to do,” a so-called “source” tells RadarOnline, explaining, “Bret wanted the money he would get as a contestant, not as a judge.”

According to the blog’s insider, “Donald only wanted Bret as a judge. He did not want to have him back as a contestant but the show’s producers basically forced him into having Bret back.”

“They couldn’t force him to keep Bret around so he got rid of him the first opportunity he had,” explains the site’s source. “It is Donald’s show and he is going to run it the way he wants to.”

If RadarOnline’s complete lack of logic sounds baffling, that’s because it is.

The site is simultaneously arguing that Trump’s producers overpowered him and forced him to cast Michaels as a contestant… except Trump is the ultimate decision-maker, runs the show “the way he wants to,” and therefore fired Michaels as soon as possible.

This makes zero sense.

A source close to Michaels agrees, telling Gossip Cop that RadarOnline’s version of events is “crazy.”

We’re assured that while the rocker indeed could have come back as a judge, he “wanted to go back to raise more money and awareness for his charity” as a contestant.

Celebrity Apprentice: All-Stars Recap: Who Was Fired and Who Broke Down?

Truth rating: 10

10:58 pm, March 10th, 2013

(NBC)

On Sunday’s “Celebrity Apprentice: All-Stars,” the returning contestants traveled to Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida.

Without knowing the challenge, Dee Snider volunteered to be the project manager for Team Plan B, while Omarosa said she’d lead Team Power.

The groups were tasked with creating an interactive, 3-D photo experience that would capture the theme park’s essence and tie into its new marketing campaign.

Omarosa quickly laid down the law, telling her team that she wanted to work like an “ad agency” and expected every member to step up.

She proved it, putting an unprepared Dennis Rodman on the spot in front of the park’s execs, and sending other team mates out to take pictures throughout the grounds and gather Despicable Me and Harry Potter memorabilia.

And while Omarosa learned that the park doesn’t normally use stars in promo materials, Snider decided he wanted his team’s product to be a “celebrity-driven” experience.

Penn Jillette said he could use his magic background to create a fancy illusion, but others questioned how feasible it would be, and worried that Snider was too indecisive to chart a clear plan.

Omarosa, later complaining that she was left with few helpers after sending many of them out, realized how “ambitious” her design was when the construction team expressed concerns, but she urged everyone to “push” on and try, especially when it came to incorporating a last-minute Spider-Man component.

She soon freaked out when time became an issue, and was reluctant to cut anything out of her plans, despite pressure from the fabricators.

And Snider later realized how much time he lost trying to decide on a concept, eventually nixing Jillette’s plan and only settling on the idea that the team would be prominently featured in the finished space via cardboard cut-outs, dressed in gear representing different aspects of the park.

With the time-crunch, both teams struggled to agreeably jazz up their presentations, before wooing the execs with their finished designs: Omarosa’s movie-themed mini-rooms and Snider’s celebrity-themed cut-outs.

In the boardroom, it was revealed Omarosa and Team Power won the challenge, prompting her to burst into tears as she celebrated winning $40,000 for a charity supported by her late fiancé Michael Clarke Duncan.

That left Snider, Jillette and the rest of Team Plan B to pass the blame for who was responsible for their loss, with the project leader insisting his final design wasn’t too simple.

After debate as to whether Jillette’s illusion idea should have been pursued, Snider kept Stephen Baldwin in the boardroom, believing him to be distrustful and sneaky, and Gary Busey, because of his “limited skill set” when it comes to the show’s tasks.

Snider admitted he brought those two back while believing he himself should be fired for making the ultimate decisions that cost them the challenge.

Donald Trump agreed, and uttered, “You’re fired!”
