Sean Lowe & Catherine Giudici Announce Wedding Date, Will Marry on TV Special

Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici have officially set a wedding date!

The “Bachelor” and his fiancée announced on “Good Morning America” on Monday that they’ll tie the knot in a television special set to air on ABC on January 26, 2014.

“We have no problem sharing the wedding with everyone,” said Lowe.

And Giudici offered the ceremony will be very “traditional.”

The couple have been engaged since the fall of last year, although the proposal didn’t air until the “Bachelor” season finale in March.

During the live “After the Final Rose” special that followed, the pair vowed to marry on TV, but have remained largely mum ever since.

Now it seems their plans will become a reality.

Sean Lowe’s engagement to Catherine Giudici is providing much tabloid fodder — not that you should believe any of it, he says.

In a new interview with Celebuzz, the “Dancing with the Stars” hunk opens up about false rumors, wedding plans, and much more.

“I don’t go out and browse the [gossip] magazines. But I see stuff and people post it on Twitter and they’re always asking me ‘is this true?’” Lowe tells CB. “The fact of the matter is if you read [it] in the tabloids, it’s not true. Catherine and I are doing great.”

Recent tab rumors predictably claimed Lowe is cheating on his fiancée with his “DWTS” partner, Peta Murgatroyd, an allegation the former “Bachelor” says is “silly.”

He explains, “There’s always speculation and I knew going in to Dancing with the Stars, whether it’s Peta or another professional dancer, they’re all attractive women. I knew those rumors were going to circulate.”

“There’s nothing going on there,” adds Lowe. ”Catherine and I couldn’t be better. It’s just silly.”

Did Tom Bergeron reveal Sean Lowe’s wedding date on Tuesday’s “Dancing with the Stars”?

Before announcing that “The Bachelor” hunk was safe for another week, Bergeron said, “My understanding is that the marriage ceremony of Sean & Catherine [Giudici] is scheduled to be broadcast on ABC in August.”

The camera then zoomed in on Lowe, who looked a combination of stunned, bewildered, and annoyed.

The couple had yet to reveal their wedding date, only confirming last month that the nuptials will be televised on ABC and take place “soon.”

A source on set, however, tells Gossip Cop it was a “joke,” and there’s nothing to announce yet.
