Jimmy Fallon, Rashida Jones and Carrie Underwood performed an amusing medley of current pop hits turned into holiday songs on Thursday’s “Late Night.”

Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky,” Katy Perry’s “Roar,” Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines,” and other favorites were filled with lyrics referencing Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, Black Friday and Christmas.

But the highlight may have been Underwood’s parody of Miley CyrusAmerican Music Awards performance of “Wrecking Ball” — complete with Pilgrim kitten.

Carrie Underwood on Sound of Music Backlash: “I Know I’m Not Julie Andrews”

Carrie Underwood is ready follow in Julie Andrews’ iconic footsteps when she plays Maria in NBC’s upcoming live broadcast of The Sound of Music – but apparently not everyone is excited for the historic production.

In fact, the singer admits she’s gotten a surprising amount of backlash over the project.

“I get hate tweets and stuff like, ‘You’re not Julie Andrews!’” she revealed in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.

Underwood went on, “I know I’m not Julie. Nobody is and I would never pretend that I was… I know my place.”

For the record, Andrews has given her blessing for Underwood to take on the legendary role.

A “making of” special airs on Wednesday night, followed by a live cast performance on Thursday as part of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Then the “The Sound Of Music: Live!” will air on the network on December 5.

Carrie Underwood Sings “My Favorite Things” in The Sound of Music Extended Promo — WATCH HERE!

There’s a new extended promo for the upcoming live production of The Sound of Music.

Starring Carrie Underwood and Stephen Moyer in the lead roles with seven adorable kids playing the Von Trapp children, the history-making broadcast is set to air on NBC on December 5.

In the preview, Underwood takes on classics like “My Favorite Things” and “Do Re Mi” in rehearsals, as she and her co-stars talk about the daunting task of bringing the beloved story to life for one night only.
