Carrie Underwood’s performance in Thursday’s “The Sound of Music: Live!” has drawn mixed reviews, and at least one member of the original film musical is not being shy in her criticism of the new star.

Kym Karath, who portrayed Gretl Von Trapp in the 1965 movie, watched the broadcast with Charmian Carr (Liesl Von Trapp) and tweeted her thoughts.

“Mystified & disappointed so far by SOM special. So far only happy with Stephen Moyer,” she wrote.

Karath continued, “Must admit some scenes are actually painful to watch.”

Ouch.

And what did she think about Julie Andrews’ replacement?

“Love Carrie Underwood but this role is just not right for her. She is lovely her voice is beautiful but acting is wrong,” tweeted Karath.

But it wasn’t all bad.

The actress wrote, “Enjoying scene with Captain, Herr Detweiler & Baroness. All excellent actors,” and later praised Laura Benanti’s performance.
