Britney Spears opens up about lip injections, Kim Kardashian and pregnancy sex in the January issue of InStyle.

The pop star reveals that she’s gotten some assistance from renowned Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Dr. Raj Kanodia.

“A doctor I see, Dr. Kanodia, does fun stuff to me sometimes — I’ve had lip injections before,” Spears tells the magazine. “He has this peptide-based face-care product; it’s green and slimy, and you mix it together and put it on your face. It does wonders. You leave it on overnight.”

Sounds good.

That said, Spears thinks “it’s cruel how the world puts so much emphasis on our looks.”

She refers to Kardashian’s harsh treatment by the press during her pregnancy.

“I see Kim and what she went through when she was pregnant — the tabloids were so mean to her because she was big,” says Spears. “At one point in the show she was upset and said something like, ‘I would be lying if I said that the criticism from the paparazzi while I’ve been pregnant hasn’t taken a toll on me.’”

“And I was like, ‘Bless her heart,’ because I remember that time,” the singer tells InStyle.

Spears adds, “First of all, you are already emotional, and then the paparazzi are taking pictures of you pregnant. That should be the time when your body is the most treasured.”

“I loved being pregnant for so many reasons,” she says. “Not to mention the sex is awesome then.”

Good to know.

Britney Spears: Chaotic Was “Worst Thing I’ve Done In My Career”

Britney Spears says “Chaotic,” her 2005 reality show with then-husband Kevin Federline, was a professional low point.

“I would never do something like that again,” she tells The Telegraph. “Actually, that was really bad. That was probably the worst thing I’ve done in my career.”

But when she’s asked about another infamous choice — the 2002 movie Crossroads — Spears (jokingly) turns defensive.

“No! I like Crossroads! F*** you!” she shouts with a laugh.

The pop star also opens up to the outlet about how things have changed since she became a superstar while still in her teens.

“I need to rehearse more now than I did before,” says Spears. “I feel I’m more of a perfectionist these days.”

There’s also a more intense feedback environment than there was in the late 1990s.

“The increased scrutiny does make me a little harder on myself these days,” explains Spears. “There are more expectations of me now, not just in terms of what I do, but also in terms of who I am.”

Britney Spears “Kept In The Dark,” Not Allowed to See Reviews?

Truth rating: 0

Britney Spears is “being kept in the dark” about reviews for her new album, claims RadarOnline, an outlet that once spread a ludicrous rumor about Kevin Federline’s brother fathering Spears’ son.

The webloid, which has been sloppy in previous coverage of Spears’ career, now alleges that the pop star’s team has “shielded” her from critical reception.

“Britney’s manager, Larry Rudolph, and father, Jamie, won’t allow her to see any of the bad reviews,” explains a so-called “source” for RadarOnline, which notes that the pair “remain conservators of Spears’ estate” but fails to mention that the outlet misreported that the conservatorship was ending more than three years ago.

The RadarOnline insider continues, “Britney doesn’t even have access to the internet and lives in a bubble!… No-one (sic) wants to upset Britney. If she were to read anything negative, it could send her into a bad tailspin and both Larry and Jamie know that can’t happen with her upcoming shows in Vegas about to launch.”

Uh-huh.

So Britney Spears, who as we type is conducting a Twitter Q&A with iTunes, has no Internet access?

We know RadarOnline may find this hard to believe, but Spears has been a major music star for fifteen years — it’s safe to say she’s aware of less-than-glowing reviews.

A source close to the situation tells Gossip Cop the notion that Spears is “kept in the dark” is “absurd.”
