Miley Cyrus’ parents are officially back together.
On Monday, the singer’s dad Billy Ray released a statement confirming he has reconciled with wife Tish, just one month after she filed for divorce.
“We both woke up and realized we love each other and decided we want to stay together. We both went into couples therapy, something we haven’t done in 22 years of being together, and it’s brought us closer together and really opened up our communication in amazing ways,” he says.
Cyrus continues, “Tish also said marriage can be really hard especially after 22 years of being in entertainment. We’ve had rough times but we both realized we didn’t want to be another statistic and wanted to make it work.”
As Gossip Cop reported on Sunday, the couple was speculated to be back together after Tish posted a photo of herself cuddling with Billy Ray and captioned it “Date Night.”
She had filed for divorce in June, two years after Billy Ray called off their first divorce proceedings.
The couple wed in 1993, and have three children together — Miley, Noah, and Braison— in addition to Tish’s two kids from her previous marriage, Trace and Brandi.
