Austin Mahone’s mystery illness has been revealed.

A rep for the singer tells Gossip Cop he was “admitted to the hospital with 104 temperature and is being treated for a blood clot and extreme inflammation in his throat, as well as severe dehydration.”

On Thursday, Mahone posted an Instagram picture of himself hooked up to an IV drip (see right), along with the caption, “I’ve never felt so bad.”

Later that day, the pop star was forced to postpone his “MTV Artist to Watch Tour.”

Austin Mahone was taken to the hospital on Thursday, after feeling ill for a few days.

The young singer posted an Instagram picture of himself hooked up to an IV drip and looking sad in a hospital gown (see below).

“I’ve never felt so bad,” wrote Mahone.

Throughout the week, he has tweeted about feeling sick.

On Wednesday, Mahone told his fans, “Mahomies I’m so so so sorry but I have to reschedule the shows tomorrow in Miami and in Orlando.

“I can’t believe this is happening its my first tour I’m so upset. I feel like I’m letting you all down. Its Doctor’s orders I have a bad flu 103 fever and I can’t move. If I could go I would,” explained the performer.

Gossip Cop has reached out for clarification on Mahone’s illness and plans.

Austin Mahone will NOT be joining Ariel Winter on the road quite yet.

The 17-year-old singer, who won Artist to Watch at last month’s MTV Video Music Awards, just flunked his driving test.

“Taking my drivers test today!! wish me luck,” he tweeted early on Wednesday.

But an hour later, Mahone had to tell his 4 million followers, “I failed.”

He explained, “She told me to stop singing in the car.”

But then, hope returned… briefly.

“I got to take it again!” tweeted Mahone. “Failed again… I’m so mad.”

The pop star’s Mahomies will have to wait just a little longer to see their favorite behind the wheel.
