“Jessica Simpson is putting her foot down — and closing her purse — when it comes to little sister Ashlee’s plastic surgery habit,” claims Star.

According to an “insider” for the mag, “Ashlee regularly uses fillers and plumpers for her lips. But Jessica believes Ashlee has gone overboard and told her to stop looking like one of the Real Housewives!”

Star goes on to explain that “Jessica isn’t just a concerned sister: she’s also Ashlee’s boss.”

“Jess generously hired Ashlee to model for her clothing line — Ashlee’s first steady paycheck in years — but now worries that Ashlee may be bad for the brand,” alleges the tab.

Last month, Star claimed Jessica pays all of Ashlee’s bills, including her rent, but conveniently makes no mention of those allegations now.

That’s because those allegations were utterly false — and so is this story.

A source close to the Simpsons assures Gossip Cop the magazine’s claim about Jessica telling Ashlee to curb her “overboard” plastic surgery “habit” is entirely made up.

“Jessica $ick of $upporting Ashlee!” blares a headline in Star, which claims “Jessica Simpson is fed up with being a cash cow for her unemployed family, namely her hard-partying little sister!”

“Jessica pays Ashlee’s rent every month, plus expenses for [her son] Bronx,” a so-called “spy” tells the tabloid.

The supposed source continues, “She paid all Ashlee’s legal bills when she was divorcing Pete Wentz, gave her a job at her company, and picked Ashlee to model her new clothing collection.”

Star goes on to paint Ashlee as an ungrateful leech, quoting its snitch as saying, “Ashlee spends all her time partying and spending Jessica’s money.”

“Jess reminds her that she’d be waitressing at Denny’s if it weren’t for her,” alleges the Star “spy.”

The magazine’s “source” even declares that “Jessica feels like her family takes her for granted,” without ever mentioning any other relative besides Ashlee.

Regardless, Gossip Cop checked in with a Simpson family insider, who tells us that Jessica does NOT – repeat, does NOT – pay Ashlee’s bills, and dismissed the Star story as “silly.”
