Arcade Fire opened the first YouTube Music Awards on Sunday with a “live” music video for “Afterlife.”

Starring Greta Gerwig and directed by Spike Jonze, the segment moved from an apartment setting to a forest and finally to the stage itself, where a group of young dancers joined Gerwig and the band.

The quiz, hosted by Kenan Thompson, involved Fey trying to decipher whether someone was among the six new featured players — or one of the night’s musical guests.
