Angie Miller made a triumphant return to “American Idol” on Thursday’s finale, just one week after her shocking elimination.

The third-place finisher performed “Titanium” with “Idol” alum Adam Lambert, the runner-up in season 8.

Miller also took the stage to sing “Domino” with one of her personal idols, Jessie J, whose songs the contestant performed several times during the season.

Jessie also had a special surprise for Miller.

Angie Miller Rocks Out, Wows Judges With Pink’s “Try” on American Idol (VIDEO)

Angie Miller ditched the piano for a rockin’ performance of Pink’s “Try” on “American Idol” on Wednesday.

The judges — who chose the song — praised Miller for leaving her comfort zone, and for giving her best up-tempo performance to date.

“I love that you didn’t play the piano. Talk about a bold move,” said Keith Urban. ”For me, you’ve never looked as comfortable performing without the piano as you did in that moment.”

Nicki Minaj echoed that same sentiment, and told her, “You believed every single word.”

“That song fit you like a glove. You sounded amazing on it,” said Randy Jackson, adding, “This girl’s trying to win!”

Noted Mariah Carey, “You enjoyed being there and there’s a confidence that you have… I totally agree with the fact that you performed like never before.”

She continued, “I was just like, ‘Wow, she’s just really found her place at home and it’s on the stage.”

WATCH: Angie Miller Criticized For Changing Rihanna’s “Diamonds” on Idol

Angie Miller may have risked elimination on Wednesday’s “American Idol” with a cover of Rihanna’s hit “Diamonds.”

The Top 4 contestant changed the arrangement of the track and played the piano — usually a surefire way for her to get a standing ovation — but this time, the judges weren’t biting.

“I commend you doing an original take on that,” Keith Urban began before telling Miller it was the wrong song to change up, and that he expected the song to “soar.”

Noted Nicki Minaj, “This was different than any other piano performances… It was bland, it was lackluster. You can do a lot better.”

Randy Jackson said the song choice was “interesting,” but complained, “It just didn’t go anywhere… I didn’t love it.”

And Mariah Carey told Miller, “I do feel like you tried to take it to another place, but I also must agree… that you were playing to the camera more than the usual Angie lost in the moment of playing.”

The negative comments were a far cry from last week, when the panel said Miller’s performances were the best of the night.
