Mariah Carey was so impressed with Amber Holcomb’s performance on Wednesday’s “American Idol” that she may have let an F-bomb slip out during her critique.

The contestant had just received a standing ovation from all four judges for Stevie Wonder‘s “Lately” when Carey gushed about the “tour de force” performance.

“It was [bleeping bleep],” said the music icon, prompting speculation that she might have actually said a curse word.

Other viewers, however, thought the “Idol” censors might’ve been just a little trigger happy.

In any case, Carey’s colleagues were enthusiastic as well, with Randy Jackson calling Holcomb’s rendition “the best vocal of the night.”

Noted Keith Urban, “You picked the right song. You sang it beautifully. You felt it beautifully.”

Nicki Minaj told Holcomb, “That was just out of this world,” and encouraged her to forget she was in the Bottom Three last week.

“I want you to know you are loved by millions of people,” said the rapper.

Amber Holcomb received a standing ovation for her Kelly Clarkson cover on Wednesday’s ”American Idol.”

The contestant took on the first-ever “Idol” winner’s coronation song, “A Moment Like This,” and Nicki Minaj said it was the “best performance of the night.”

“Your voice and your aura reminds me of Whitney Houston’s first album. That last note was giving me Whitney, baby,” said the rapper, an interesting observation since Holcomb performed “I Will Always Love You” last week.

Keith Urban told the singer, “Wow, Amber, that was beautiful. I loved that song for you. I love how effortless you sing.”

And Randy Jackson started out by saying, point-blank, “I love you.”

“First of all, the greatest ‘American Idol’ song ever for a finale, [one of the] greatest ‘American Idol’ winners, and you blew it out of the box tonight,” said the judge.

He added, “I feel like you have arrived and you now feel like you belong there.”

And Mariah Carey, who said she would’ve participated in the ovation along with the other judges if her skirt wasn’t so tight, told Holcomb, “#Pow, that’s all I can say.”

“To critique it is almost unnecessary, because you give us goosebumps,” said Carey.

Amber Holcomb got a standing ovation from all four judges on the first live “American Idol” episode of the season.

The 18-year-old was among the 10 female finalists to perform, and absolutely nailed Whitney Houston’s “I Believe In You and Me.”

“Good lord. Amber, what a perfect song for you,” Keith Urban told her. “You had no shortage of confidence and rightly so.”

Nicki Minaj said Holcomb’s rendition was more than a $10 million performance, and added, “Your vocals are surpassing even this competition. Nothing that came before you is even on that level.”

Noted Randy Jackson, “Amber is definitely in it to win it right now… You take on one of the greatest ever and you work it out.”

And Mariah Carey said she “loved” Holcolmb’s take on the classic song, adding, “You’re 18 years old and you can sing your behind off.”
