‘The Truth Uncovered’ eyes a culprit outside the family.

Despite ample TV specials with titles stating otherwise, the 1996 murder of tiny pageant star JonBenet Ramsey remains unsolved.

No arrests have been made, no warrants issued, but the high-stakes reveals of HBO’s The Jinx and Netflix’s Making a Murderer have a lot of true crime fare teasing resolution these days. Next up is A&E’s The Killing of JonBenet: The Truth Uncovered. Its Sept. 5 premiere, followed shortly by Investigation Discovery’s JonBenet: An American Murder Mystery on Sept. 12 and CBS’ The Case Of: JonBenet Ramsey and Sept. 18, promises revelations of its own.

“This DNA comes from an intruder,” says one man, perhaps an investigator, in the first teaser. “This person murdered JenBenet.” (Bold words!)

If there is something interesting about the 45-second spot, it’s is the different path the A&E project seems to be taking on whether or not the Ramsey’s murder was the result of a home invasion. The first promo for CBS’ The Case Of seems to rule out the basement window as a point of entry, but The Truth Uncovered shows a man gingerly hopping through the opening.

‘Andi Mack,’ not unlike the comedy before it, will chronicle a young girl struggling with adolescence.

Lizzie McGuire rides again — sort of. The mind behind the landmark Disney Channel series is returning to the network with another tale of a teenage girl.

The network has handed out a series order to Terri Minsky’s Andi Mack, a single-camera family comedy about a young girl whose life is thrown into disarray on the eve of her 13th birthday when her moody sister moves back home.

“As a writer and creative force, Terri Minsky has a one of a kind voice that resonates with our audience, making them laugh and cry in the same scene with dialogue and storytelling that always feels honest,” said Disney Channels Worldwide executive vice president of original programming Adam Bonnett. “When Terri created ‘Lizzie McGuire,’ she helped put Disney Channel on the map with a character that our audience could identify with and we look forward to introducing ‘Andi’ to a new generation of kids and tweens.”

The series stars newcomer Peyton Elizabeth Lee as the titular Andi Mack, featuring her Lilan Bowden as sister Bex and Lauren Tom and Joshua Rush as their parents.

Lizzie McGuire was a huge hit for the Disney Channel, minting Hilary Duff as a star and earning Minsky a WGA nomination. She’s since created Less Than Perfect and Finding Carter and written for The Carrie Diaries and Younger.
