Britney Spears is NOT performing on “The Voice” season finale, despite a rumor. Gossip Cop can exclusively bust the speculation.

As Gossip Cop has reported, “The Voice” is currently in its 11th season, with the finals slated to take place next month. The second part of the two-night finale should have a number of celebrity performances, as always. Some on social media are now claiming that Spears is among those scheduled to participate.

The rumor, which is circulating on Twitter, claims the pop star and collaborator Tinashe will appear on the program to perform their remix of “Slumber Party.” Spears, who was a judge on “The X Factor,” does have connections to the NBC competition. For instance, contestant Melanie Martinez memorably auditioned with “Toxic” back in 2012.

In 2015, then-coach Christina Aguilera did an impersonation of Spears and other stars. And earlier this year, Aguilera touted her “Mickey Mouse Club” history with Spears while trying to woo an artist on to her team. But despite all that, the singer herself is still not making her way on to the show.

Gossip Cop has exclusively learned it’s not true Spears will be on the upcoming finale. And this is the second false rumor to spread on Twitter recently about such a “Slumber Party” performance. Just days ago, Gossip Cop busted claims that Spears would be performing at the American Music Awards. Of course, we were right, and time will prove us correct here, too.

Florence Henderson People Magazine Tweet Slammed

People magazine is getting slammed for a tweet about the late Florence Henderson and “The Brady Bunch.” See photos below.

As Gossip Cop reported, Henderson died on Thanksgiving after suffering heart failure. She was 82. A beloved “TV mom,” the actress’ passing has prompted countless online tributes. But a social media message from People is raising eyebrows.

Early Friday, the magazine tweeted a split photo showing an old picture of Henderson with a more recent one. The caption: “The Brady Bunch cast: Where are they now?” Um, well, she’s dead.

Now, in all fairness, the story the tweet links to acknowledges Henderson’s death, but the poorly-worded Twitter post comes off as both naive and insensitive. In fact, after People sent it out for a second time on Friday afternoon, Chrissy Teigen actually quoted the tweet, writing, “Who is gonna tell them, I don’t have the heart.”

A number of followers were similarly bothered. A user with the handle @watdez said, “I saw this too!!! I was like um….” @fahma311 wrote, “wow people.” @KristMcNamara expressed, “yikes.” And @steveplunkett also wrote, “srsly? #fail delete tweet.. #justsayin #toosoon.”

Of course, it’s understandable to want to take a look at the rest of “The Brady Bunch” cast in the wake of Henderson’s passing. But no doubt there was a better way to draw attention to the story. And it seems People has gotten the message. Both tweets have been deleted from the magazine’s feed. See screengrabs below.

Kate Middleton, Camilla Parker Bowles Feud Claim NOT True

Kate Middleton and Camilla Parker Bowles are not in a feud, despite a report about an alleged fight between the two royals. Gossip Cop can debunk the story.

“Royal Insult — Princess Kate’s Cruel Comparison For Camilla,” reads the headline of an article published Friday on the National Enquirer website. It’s said in ridiculous language, “Cranky Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall — the pissy-puss royal in-law who’s an OUTlaw as far as Kate Middleton’s concerned — just unraveled their already rocky relationship like an old sweater!”

According to a supposed “royal spy,” “Camilla’s constantly stirring the pot and pissing Kate off — this time dissing her for allowing teeny Princess Charlotte to be seen and photographed wearing big brother George’s old cardigan sweater. Camilla complained to hubby Prince Charles that it makes his princess look like a pauper!”

The alleged tipster goes on, “When Kate heard that vicious shade-toss, she smacked back at the old sow, growling that her baby, a true princess, already shows a magnificent flare for fashion — just like her grandmother,” the late Princess Diana. But Gossip Cop couldn’t help but be suspicious of this tale since the U.S.-based supermarket tabloid is known to have horrible royal sources.

This is, after all, the same outlet that absurdly claimed in September that little Charlotte is the reincarnation of Diana. That’s kind of blatantly false silliness we’re dealing with here. Now Gossip Cop is told that this new piece about the two Duchesses is just more of the same, and no such fight (over a sweater, of all things) ever happened.
