Trevor Noah Mocks Jeb Bush for “Creeping” on ‘Supergirl’ Star

The 'Daily Show' host pointed out that comic books aren't real: "We can't fly like Superman, and Jeb Bush will never have the chance to be rejected by Supergirl."A still from Thursday’s ‘Daily Show’

The ‘Daily Show’ host pointed out that comic books aren’t real: “We can’t fly like Superman, and Jeb Bush will never have the chance to be rejected by Supergirl.”

Trevor Noah took Jeb Bush to task for his recent comments about Supergirl star Melissa Benoist

On Thursday’s Daily Show, the host skewered Bush for his response to an interviewer at a Las Vegas event earlier this week, who asked Bush to name his favorite Marvel superhero. Bush replied that Benoist is “pretty hot,” although the former Florida governor admitted to not knowing what network the show would be airing on.

“Damn — Jeb’s creeping on the Kryptonian,” Noah cracked. Noah also mocked Bush for channeling his “inner accountant,” after Bush said he was impressed by Marvel’s financial status.

“Jeb, just to let you know, and to everyone out there, Supergirl premieres at 8:30 on CBS,” Noah said. “And based on Jeb’s excitement, I suggest no one shake his hand after 9 p.m. (Pause.) Because his hands will be sweating from the joy! (To audience.) You guys are disgusting.”

Noah also mocked complaints that Captain America will now be a black character in the comic books, with Noah observing that conservatives are becoming Captain America’s chief foe.

“Defeating Red Skull is one thing, but fighting Ben Carson — that’s a challenge,” Noah said. The host then impersonated Carson — and referenced an alleged Popeye’s robbery that Carson witnessed in the 1980s — by saying: “‘Uh, Captain — I believe you want to punch the guy behind the counter.’ “

Noah concluded that comic books should just be enjoyed as escapism. “We can’t fly like Superman, and Jeb Bush will never have the chance to be rejected by Supergirl,” Noah joked.

Jeb Bush: ‘Supergirl’ Star Is “Pretty Hot”

October 22, 2015 2:53am PT by Ryan Gajewski

Melissa Benoist apparently has a fan in the former governor of Florida.‘Supergirl’

Melissa Benoist apparently has a fan in the former governor of Florida.

It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s…a politician saying something he may regret later.

Jeb Bush spoke at a Las Vegas event Wednesday, where he was asked to name his favorite Marvel superhero, CNN reports.

Bush appeared to have a bit of trouble naming one, saying instead, “I like watching the movies. I wish I owned Marvel, as someone that believes in capitalism.”

“I like the old-school guys like Batman, a little dark these days,” he continued, showing his apparent affinity for DC Comics.

Then, the presidential candidate — who is married with three children — made it known that he finds Melissa Benoist, star of CBS’ Supergirl, to be easy on the eyes.

“I saw it when I was working out this morning,” Bush said of an ad for the show. “She looked kinda…she looked pretty hot. I don’t know which channel it’s on, but I’m looking forward to that.”

After the audience laughed, Bush — who continues to lag in polls for the GOP race behind Donald Trump and Ben Carson — acknowledged, “That’ll make news.”

‘Back to the Future’s’ Doc and Marty Pose for Selfies on ‘Kimmel’: “2015 Kind of Sucks”

October 21, 2015 9:43pm PT by Ryan Gajewski

"If you don't mind my asking, what the hell have you guys been doing for 30 years?"Marty McFly and Doc Brown on Wednesday’s ‘Kimmel’

“If you don’t mind my asking, what the hell have you guys been doing for 30 years?”

Marty McFly and Doc Brown don’t appear to be all that impressed with how 2015 turned out.

Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd appeared on Wednesday’s Jimmy Kimmel Live dressed as their Back to the Future characters. The segment was in honor of Back to the Future Day, marking the point in time that Marty traveled to in the film franchise’s sequel.

After Marty and Doc emerged from their Dolorean on Kimmel’s stage, they took note of the studio audience. “All of these people must have gotten here in their flying cars,” Marty observed.

When Doc figured out who Kimmel was, he asked him, “You have a talk show? What happened to Johnny Carson?”

Marty wasn’t impressed to learn that today’s society is not blessed with flying cars, hoverboards or peace in the Middle East.

“If you don’t mind my asking, what the hell have you guys been doing for 30 years?” Marty wanted to know. Kimmel responded by explaining that mankind has recently invented something called a cronut.

“Doc, it seems like 2015 kind of sucks,” Marty concluded.

After Kimmel snapped a selfie with the duo, Huey Lewis appeared in the crowd to tell them that they’re “just too darn loud,” a reference to Lewis’ cameo in the first film.
