The Cars of Breaking Bad

Breaking Bad RV Name

Trying to hide out from the Internet today to avoid any spoilers from the series finale of AMC’ Breaking Bad? Well, don’t worry we’re not here to talk about the last episode ever of the best TV show ever. As a celebrity cars site we’re here to talk about the cars that co-starred with the wonderful cast of Breaking Bad over the past 6 years.

Besides the Rolling Meth Lab RV (word on the web is that it’s a 1986 Fleetwood Bounder) where Walter White and Jesse Pinkman started off their successful business venture, we’ve seen some interesting vehicles hit the screen since the show first aired in Jan. 2008. Check out our list below:

Walter White Pontiac Aztek

Walter White’s Pontiac Aztek:

When he’s not rolling around in the Meth RV, Walter White’s daily driver is a Pontiac Aztek. When the Aztek was produced it was supposed to be a design renaissance for GM. Unfortunately, the Aztek was widely criticized for its awkward exterior. According to a poll in The Daily Telegraph in August 2008, the Aztek was voted number one on the “100 ugliest cars” of all time list.

Jesse Pinkman Toyota

Jesse Pinkman’s Toyota Tercel 4WD Wagon, Bitch:

There probably isn’t a car that fits Pinkman’s character better than this red little beater he drove through the whole show. Even when Jesse hit it big with his Meth business, hecontinued to drive around in the beat up little Toyota Tercel which had just one wiper (the other was always missing). Let’s not forget, Jesse Pinkman even drove around throwing wads of cash from his Toyota during a mental breakdown. We’re pretty sure Aaron Paul is very excited to go from the beat-up little Tercel to a bunch of expensive supercars that he’ll be driving in Need for Speed.

Hank Jeep Commander

Hank’s Jeep Commander:

We’re not sure why Hank drove around in a Jeep Commander and we’re not really sure it suit his character. We at least expect Walter’s brother-in-law or the leader of the DEA to drive something more interesting – maybe a Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Gus Fring Volvo

Gus Fring’s Volvo V70P:

While Gus Fring was probably one of the meanest and toughest villain’s to grace the screens of our television sets, he drove around in a safe Volvo V70 station wagon. Why? Well, besides being a ruthless drug dealer, Gus Fring’s front was of a respectable owner of Los Pollos Hermanons and a man who was involved in community service and respected by politicians.

Saul Goodman Cadillac

Saul Goodman’s Cadillac DeVille:

There is no better car for a corrupt lawyer. He’s an all-American badass lawyer with an all-American car. Better call Saul! For Breaking Bad fans that are itching for some more Saul, the lawyer will be getting his own spin-off show based around his character.

Skyler Grand Wagoneer

Skyler’s Jeep Grand Wagoneer:

Skyler’s Jeep Grand Wagoneer is the perfect little suburban mommy wagon. Before upgrading to the Ford Edge, Skyler rolled around in the red Grand Wagoneer with wood panels, which we believe suited her image perfectly- a woman who was clueless to her husband’s huge meth empire.

Marei Breaking Bad VW Beetle

Marie’s Volkswagen New Beetle:

Skyler’s sister drove around in a New Beetle, which was very fitting for her character. She was very gitty, annoying and kind of ditzy – just like others that own a Volkswagen Beetle.

Mike Breaking Bad Chrysler New Yorker

Mike’s 80’s Chrysler New Yorker:

What did you expect Mike the tough guy to drive? A Crown Vic? A Cadillac? Of course not! Mike was a good-hearted tough guy that was always ready to teach you a life lesson – a guy who is as unique as a Mopar.

Walter Whites Chrysler 300 SRT8

And then there was Mopar or No Car…

Eventually after making millions from his meth business, Walter White takes Walt Junior for car-shopping and picks up a PT Cruiser for his son, however, for himself, Walter buys a 470-hp 6.4 liter HEMI V8 Chrysler 300 SRT8. He eventually feels bad for Walt Junior and picks him up a Dodge Challenger SRT8. According to SRT president Ralph Gilles, Walter White’s 300 SRT8 “is the one” – a sedan with extreme power and perfect balancing, a great way for Walter White to Break Bad.

Celebrities and Their Green Cars

Justin Bieber Fisker Karma

When we think celebrity cars, we largely think of one of two things; supercars and massive SUVs. In either case, efficiency is not for the taking. Reality though paints a much different picture, and if we pay attention to The Sunset Strip, we could see a few smaller, eco-friendly rides weaving through traffic with the Aston Martins and Escalades. Hollywood is known for its “slacktivist” causes, but when it comes to eco-friendly motoring, there are a few out there who are the real deal. Here are six:

Jay Leno - Chevrolet Volt

Jay Leno – Chevy Volt

When it comes to cars in Hollywood, Jay Leno is amongst the best of the best, sporting one of the most prolific private car collections in the country. When EVs hit the consumer market, Leno jumped in with both feet and has driven nearly every one on the market. His electrified ride of choice however, has remained the Chevy Volt.

George Clooney - Tesla Roadster

George Clooney – Tesla Roadster

Like Leno, George Clooney buys domestic, but opts for a bit more performance with his $100,000 + Tesla Roadster. Clooney is in good company though, as the Roadster seems to be the EV of choice for quite a few A-Listers; Matt Damon, Anthony Kiedis, and Will.i.am have all been spotted driving the high-performance coupe around Hollywood. Not to be left out, Jay Leno also sports one of these beasts in his collection.

Sir Paul McCartney Lexus LS600h

Sir Paul McCartney – Lexus LS600h

An eco-friendly car literally fit for a Knight, the LS600h is powered by a gargantuan 5 liter V8 engine with the assistance of two electric motors, and according to Edmunds, it barely sees better mileage than the non-hybrid LS. So then what makes this car suitable for environmental activist Sir Paul McCartney? The Super Ultra Low Emissions Vehicle rating. Sir Paul McCartney’s car collection is definitely impressive.

Leo - Fisker Karma

Leonardo DiCaprio – Fisker Karma

Leo has been a green vehicles’ advocate since 2008 when he was chauffeured to the Oscars in a Toyota Prius. He’s since been featured in a marketing campaign by Elon Musk’s Tesla Motors, but owns a Karma himself. Other famous owners past and present include Al Gore, Ashton Kutcher, Matt Damon and Justin Bieber, who received one from his manager as an 18th birthday gift.

Alyssa Milano - Nissan Leaf

Alyssa Milano – Nissan Leaf

Besides Alyssa Milano, Samantha Micelli actually owns two EVs: the Nissan Leaf and the Chevy Volt. The former teen-idol says that she was compelled to go green in the wake of the Deep Horizon oil disaster a few years back. Lance Armstrong, was also one of the first U.S. customers for the Leaf.

Larry David

Larry David – Toyota Prius

One of TVs most successful writers/creators/producers of all time, Larry David has a net worth somewhere in the high 100 millions, but still sports his Prius. David’s fictionalized self drives the car on Curb Your Enthusiasm, and so does the real-life Larry. A known environmental advocate along with his former wife Laurie, David was one of Hollywood’s earliest adapters to green motoring. He is hardly alone however, as the Prius has the Hollywood following one would expect of the first commercially viable hybrid cars to hit the U.S. market. Emily Blunt, Cameron Diaz, Julianne Moore, Natalie Portman, Jennifer Aniston, Bradley Cooper, Adrian Grenier, Dustin Hoffman, Harrison Ford, and Tom Hanks have all been seen driving one around.
