Johnny Depp’s hand injury has delayed production on Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. The movie was supposed to have already resumed filming after the actor hurt his hand earlier this month, but now around 200 crew members have been informed they will not return to work until next month.

The Sydney Morning Herald reports that production on the fifth installment of the Pirates franchise is expected to resume filming around April 15, nearly a month after Depp flew back to the U.S. from Australia to undergo surgery on his hand. As Gossip Cop previously reported, the 51-year-old actor sustained the injury away from the set of the production.

While Depp was recuperating, crew members were still filming scenes that did not involve his iconic character, Captain Jack Sparrow. It was initially believed that the actor’s injury would only “minimally impact” the film, but Depp needed a pin inserted into his finger, which has prolonged his recovery. Despite the halt in production, Disney previously stated that it was not changing the release date for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. The movie is expected to hit theaters on July 7, 2017.
