Incoming “The Daily Show” host Trevor Noah is responding to critics amid backlash over some of his older tweets, in which the comedian joked about Jewish people and women. As Gossip Cop reported, Noah was criticized on Monday and Tuesday for jokes he tweeted between 2008 and 2014. In one tweet, Noah quipped, “Almost bumped a Jewish kid crossing the road. He didn’t look b4 crossing but I still would hav felt so bad in my german car!”

Late on Tuesday, Noah took to Twitter to address his critics. He wrote, “To reduce my views to a handful of jokes that didn’t land is not a true reflection of my character, nor my evolution as a comedian.” His comment came shortly after Comedy Central released a statement supporting the 31-year-old comedian. The network noted that Noah, like many other comedians, “pushes boundaries” and “spares no one, himself included.”

The statement added, “To judge him or his comedy based on a handful of jokes is unfair. Trevor is a talented comedian with a bright future at Comedy Central.” As Gossip Cop previously reported, it was announced on Monday that Noah would succeed current “Daily Show” host Jon Stewart. The South-African comedian is expected to take over the hosting gig later this year.

Jamie Dornan admits he once stalked a woman to prepare for his role as a serial killer on the Netflix drama “The Fall.” The 32-year-old actor admits it was a very unusual tactic, but says it helped him get inside the mind of his character, Paul Spector.

In “The Fall,” picked up  earlier this month for a third five-episode season, Dornan’s character is a family man who likes to tie-up his female victims before killing them. During an interview with the Los Angeles Times, Dornan reveals he did “a couple of things to try to get inside [Paul’s mind].”

“On the tube, which is our underground system,” begins Dornan before trailing off. “Can we get arrested for this? Hold on… this is a really bad reveal,” he continues adding, “I, like, followed a woman off the train one day to see what it felt like to pursue someone like that.”

Dornan says he kept a bit of distance between him and the woman while on the train, and once she reached her stop he trailed her for a few blocks. “It felt kind of exciting, in a really sort of dirty way,” confesses Dornan, adding, “I’m sort of not proud of myself. But I do honestly think I learned something from it, because I’ve obviously never done any of that. It was intriguing and interesting to enter that process of ‘what are you following her for?’ and ‘what are you trying to find out?’” What do you think about Dornan admitting he stalked a woman to prepare for his role in “The Fall?”
