Diane Sawyer‘s sit-down with Bruce Jenner will air as a two-hour 20/20 special April 24 at 9 p.m. on ABC, the network announced Monday.

Sawyer’s interview with Jenner, who is in the process of a sex change, has been the worst-kept secret in TV news. Sawyer sat down with Jenner some time ago — before he was involved in a Feb. 7 accident on the Pacific Coast Highway in which an elderly woman was killed — but the news division has declined to confirm the interview until now.

The booking also raised eyebrows because of Jenner’s long-standing relationship with NBCUniversal-owned E! via the cable network’s portfolio of programming featuring the Kardarshians. Many insiders expected the network’s Today show to have the inside track on Jenner’s first interview about his sex change.

Weeks after news of Sawyer’s interview leaked, NBCU finalized a new three-year deal for E!’s Keeping Up With the Kardashians franchise. The new deal does not include Jenner, who will exit the show after the upcoming 10th season. He’s been in talks for his own show on E!, which would explore his transition. According to one insider, the show would begin post-transition.

Jenner has remained mum on the PCH accident save for a statement expressing “heartfelt and deepest sympathies” to the family of Kim Howe, 69, the woman who was killed. He initially told investigators that paparazzi were following him around the time of the crash, but authorities have said they do not think photographers played any role in the accident. An investigation could take up to six months. Meanwhile, Jenner may reportedly face a wrongful death lawsuit from the stepchildren of Howe.

ABC News has reached a new and expanded deal with Yahoo that will add a Yahoo branded segment to Good Morning America and make clips of ABC’s top entertainment properties, including Scandal and Jimmy Kimmel Live, available on the site.

The GMA segment, Yahoo Your Day, will each day feature Yahoo editors and experts, including style editor Joe Zee, beauty editor Bobbi Brown and food editor Kerry Diamond. Flickr images will be integrated into GMA weather reports, and Tumblr will be featured in the morning show’s Social Square.

The companies also will develop a more robust partnership on major news events, including the 2016 presidential election. Interestingly, content from Katie Couric, who left ABC News last year and joined Yahoo as its global news anchor, will be distributed across ABC News.
