The hour now will air sometime after the Nov. 8 presidential election.

Law & Order: SVU is putting its Donald Trump-inspired episode on hold.

The network has pulled the episode and will not air the hour until sometime after the presidential election on Nov. 8, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.

NBC made the scheduling decision Friday.

News broke Tuesday that the long-running NBC drama was planning to do an episode seemingly inspired by the Republican presidential nominee. The episode, titled “Unstoppable,” sees Veep star Gary Cole in the role of a politician whose campaign goes haywire when several women go public with damaging accusations.

The episode was originally set to air on Wednesday, Oct. 26 — less than two weeks before the election. The SVU episode to air in its place on Oct. 26 has not yet been determined.

The episode was announced in the midst of a particularly damaging few weeks for Trump’s campaign. The former reality show host and executive producer was accused of demonstrating lewd and sexist behavior on the set of The Apprentice (also an NBC show) in a report published by the Associated Press on Oct. 3. (These claims were further substantiated in a THR story published Tuesday.)

One week ago, the Washington Post posted a vulgar Access Hollywood video from 2005 in which Trump discussed groping women with then-co-host Billy Bush. Trump since has apologized for what he said in the video, calling it “locker room talk.” However, his presidential campaign has nonetheless taken a major hit as a result of the leaked footage caught on a hot mic.

Since then, several more women have come forward with allegations of assault, notably two women who shared their story with The New York Times and a People writer who says Trump forced himself on her in 2005. In a press conference on Friday morning, a former Apprentice contestant from season five alleged that Trump had forcibly kissed her.

Trump has vehemently denied the allegations against him and has threatened to sue the publications publishing the allegations (as has his wife, Melania Trump, who was mentioned in the People writer’s firsthand account).

NBC aired the first promo for the episode Wednesday evening, immediately following a new broadcast of Law & Order: SVU. In the promo, the Trump-inspired character describes how “women throw themselves” at him, and he is seen holding a press conference in which he states he has nothing to hide.

The ‘Chicago P.D.’ grad will play the new executive officer to Garret Dillahunt’s character in the post-Civil War drama pilot.

Brian Geraghty has booked his next small screen role.

The Chicago P.D. grad has joined Rod Lurie’s post-Civil War drama pilot Monsters of God as a series regular, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

Monsters of God, written by Lurie (The Contender), centers on Colonel “Terrible” Bill Lancaster’s battle against the Comanche in post-Civil War Texas. Despite the peaceful co-existence between the Comanche and local residents of Slater, Lancaster begins a quest to kill every single member of the tribe and chaos ensues. Meanwhile, his wife, Cynthia, is equally determined to institute her wildly feminist ideals, even if it means challenging the United States Army and striking her own allegiance with the Comanche women.

Geraghty will play Major Ellroy McQueen, the handsome, well-groomed and thoughtful new executive officer to Colonel Lancaster – an appointment that doesn’t sit well with the Colonel. Always careful to only say as much as he needs to, McQueen is well aware of Lancaster’s ruthless tendencies, and must determine the best way to approach this new position.

Garret Dillahunt is set to star as Lancaster. The cast also includes Caitlin Gerard and Pat Healy.

Lurie, who studied the Comanche Wars while serving as an artillery officer in the U.S. Army, wrote the pilot and will also direct. He will exec produce, along with Marc Frydman, his producing partner at Battle Plan Productions, and DeDe Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner and Sarah Esberg of Brad Pitt’s Plan B Entertainment. TNT ordered the pilot in July.

For Geraghty, the role comes after a two-season stint on Chicago P.D. His other TV roles include Ray Donovan and Boardwalk Empire, and his film credits include Flight, The Hurt Locker and Jarhead. He is repped by UTA, Management 360 and Loeb & Loeb.

Damon Gupton has signed on as a new series regular for season 12. He will be introduced in episode eight.

Criminal Minds has cast Thomas Gibson’s replacement.

Damon Gupton has joined the cast of the CBS procedural, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.

Gupton will play Special Agent Stephen Walker, a new hire who hails from the Behavioral Analysis Program which is the counterintelligence division of the FBI. A seasoned profiler, he will bring his spy-hunting skill set to the BAU. Gupton’s character will be introduced in the eighth episode of season 12.

“Our BAU family is growing,” showrunner Erica Messer said.  “We’re excited to have Damon join the show and work alongside our amazing cast and crew.”

His casting comes roughly a month and a half after the sudden exit of star Thomas Gibson, who was fired from long-running drama after an alleged altercation on the set with a writer on the series. Gibson had been with the show since its 2005 debut.

Gupton joins recent new addition Adam Rodriguez, who was added for season 12 following the departure of another longtime star, Shemar Moore, who left towards the end of season 11. Additionally, former star Paget Brewster signed on to return as a series regular for season 12 in the wake of Gibson’s exit.

The upcoming second episode of the season, which airs Wednesday, will be Gibson’s last. However, it remains to be seen how his character will be written out of the series.

Other cast members on Criminal Minds include Joe Mantegna, Matthew Gray Gubler, A.J. Cook, Aisha Tyler — also promoted to series regular for season 12 — and Kirsten Vangsness. Criminal Minds is co-produced by ABC Studios and CBS Television Studios.

A Julliard grad, Gupton’s small screen credits include recurring roles on Empire, Bates Motel and David E. Kelley’s upcoming Amazon legal drama Goliath. His film credits include the upcoming Oscar hopeful La La Land, Whiplash and This is 40.

Criminal Minds airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. on CBS.
