Robert Downey, Jr.: I’ll Do Iron Man 4 If Mel Gibson Directs It

(Getty Images)

Robert Downey Jr. says he’s pretty much done making Iron Man movies, but would entertain doing an Iron Man 4, if Mel Gibson directed.

The idea is floated when Downey, a longtime supporter of Gibson, explains why he feels the actor-director deserves forgiveness.

“He has changed so much. Nobody should make a case for somebody who just wants forgiveness but hasn’t changed, but he’s a fundamentally different guy,” Downey tells Deadline.

The Marvel star believes that Gibson’s infamous ant-Semitic outburst was “just the very worst aspects of somebody’s psyche being treated as though they were the blanket statement about a person.”

Downey continues, “He has changed, but at the same time he’s still Mel,” noting, “He and I are so similar in so many ways. He really, honestly is the first to admit his character defects and also is just a great, great collaborative guy. I always say too that if you want to judge a man or a woman then look at their kids. He has the healthiest, happiest, most productive kids you could ever meet or know, and I’m fortunate to be friendly with several of them.”

“Sometimes with these things, it becomes a matter of time, and is seems like it’s getting a little bit old to hold a grudge,” feels the actor.

Downey explains his reluctance to making an Iron Man 4: “Each one of those movies is spread over two years and some people fit other things in. But I’m not 42, I’m turning 50, and now I’ll have two small kids instead of one grown one.”

The actor notes, “It all has become this thing that has to be figured out. It has come to a head, right now, where the points of departure will be.”

It’s only when Downey is asked whether he would commit to Iron Man 4 if Marvel were to let Gibson direct it that he says yes, adding “that movie would be bananas.”

Indeed.

Kim Kardashian: I Did NOT Forget Daughter North At Hotel!

(Getty Images)

Kim Kardashian is firing back at reports alleging she almost “forgot” her daughter North at a Paris hotel earlier this week.

Accusatory stories started to appear after video, taken on Wednesday, showed Kardashian exiting the hotel alone, quickly returning to the building, and then re-emerging with North in tow.

Outlets like In Touch and The Mirror reported that Kardashian had accidentally left North in the lobby, remembering the baby was inside the hotel only as she got into a car and was about to leave.

On Friday, Kardashian mocked this version of events.

She tweeted, “Heard on the radio today some story I forgot my daughter at our hotel as I’m leaving for the airport. Are you kidding me?!?!?! LOL.

Kardashian explained what had happened, tweeting, “I went to the car to make sure the car seat was in because the day before we had a car seat issue.

Do u guys really think a 1year old would be inside the lobby by herself! Oh wait she was waiting to check out lol,” she joked.

So there was no Home Alone moment for Kardashian, despite the rumors.
