A high school student has come under fire for wearing blackface for her Nicki Minaj halloween costume. The student from Florida, who has only been identified as Emma, posted pictures of herself in blackface and dressed up as Minaj on Twitter. See the controversial photo below.

On Monday night, Emma tweeted a picture of the offensive costume she wore to her school’s homecoming, and within minutes ,the photo was met with tremendous backlash, including threats to report her to the school district’s superintendent.

Before deleting the tweet and her Twitter account all together, the Florida teen apologized. She wrote, “I sincerely apologize for my actions. I did not mean to offend anyone with my homecoming costume.”

The student’s offensive costume comes just one day after a fifth grade teacher from Alabama was slammed for wearing blackface for a Kanye West costume. As Gossip Cop reported on Monday, Shannon Morrow posted a picture of her husband Heath on Facebook, wearing blackface while she dressed up as Kim Kardashian. Morrow captioned the now deleted picture, “Haha some people thought Heath was really a black man.”

Reese Witherspoon Fighting For NBA Cheerleaders Pay Increase

Reese Witherspoon is speaking out about NBA cheerleaders not making minimum wage, and is urging that their pay be increased. On Tuesday, Witherspoon showed her support for the cheerleaders when she retweeted a New York Times article titled, “N.B.A. Cheerleaders’ New Rallying Cry: Better Pay” and urged professional basketball to do better by writing, “Come on #NBA! #payhermore.”

Former and current NBA cheerleaders are now fighting back against unfair treatment, namely not being paid living wages. Many cheerleaders claim they often make less than $5 an hour, which is $1.25 less than the federal minimum wage.

This is the first time Witherspoon has spoken out on behalf of the cause, and she’s making it clear she believes the women deserve better pay. In addition to retweeting the article, the actress further wrote, These women work really hard and they deserve AT LEAST minimum wage.”

Witherspoon’s support for better pay for NBA cheerleaders comes right on the heels of Jennifer Lawrence’s essay about equal pay for actresses. As Gossip Cop reported, Lawrence wrote about what it was like to make less than her male costars and urged actors, males and females alike, to help close the pay gap. In the days following the essay being published, many actors have come out in support of Lawrence, including Bradley Cooper and Josh Hutcherson.

Sofia Vergara is shutting down rumors she was one of Bill Cosby’s alleged sexual assault victims. After the Bogota, Colombia radio show El Candela claimed she “could’ve been one of his victims,” Vergara tweeted it is not true.

El Candela recently unearthed an old video of Vergara being interviewed by Cosby. The station then tweeted a picture of the “Modern Family” actress and Cosby, with the message in Spanish, “A video of an interview of Bill Cosby and a young Sofia Vergara came out. It’s rumored she could’ve been one of his victims.” Responding directly to El Candela on Twitter, Verga wrote, “Respect people. Stop inventing nonsense.”

The video in question is an appearance Vergara made on “The Late Show” when Cosby was a guest host back in 2003. In the clip, Cosby compliments Vergara, who was promoting the movie Chasing Papi, on her good looks. “Men look at you, and they think only of sin,” he said. “What you have on tonight is wonderful. This is just wonderful. When you were walking out many people became attentive. You make me feel young again. You make me feel excited.”
