Raven Symone is at the center of yet another controversy after expressing her unpopular opinion about the assault at Spring Valley. Watch below.

As Gossip Cop reported, the “#AssaultAtSpringValley” incident took place on Monday at Spring Valley High School in Columbia, South Carolina, with video of the assault going viral within hours. Footage showed Ben Fields, a school resource officer, violently grabbing a black female student sitting at her desk. The forced used by the cop caused the chair to fall over with the student still in it, and he then proceeded to drag her across the room and announce he was putting her under arrest.

Fields’ actions were widely condemned on social media, including by a number of celebrities. But on Wednesday’s edition of “After The View,” the online post-show live stream, Raven-Symone blamed the teenage victim. “The girl was told multiple times to get off the phone,” argued the co-host.

“There’s not right or reason, for him to be doing this type of harm. That’s ridiculous. But at the same time, you gotta follow the rules in school,” she continued. “First of all, why are there cell phones in school? This shouldn’t even be a problem to begin with, and he shouldn’t have been acting like that on top of it.” Soon after Raven-Symone made her comments, it was announced Officer Fields has been fired from his position.

Raven-Symone, however, has become a trending topic on Twitter, with many calling her out for alleged victim blaming. Twitter user @meechonmars said, “raven symone said the cop was wrong but the girl shouldnt have been on her phone. so being on your phone is deserving of being dragged?” Twitter user @MalePocahontas expressed similar sentiments, “If Raven Symone really believes being on your cell phone in class warrants being thrown across a classroom….god help her.”

Caitlyn Jenner’s kids are helping her celebrate her very first birthday as a transgendered woman on Wednesday. Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, and Kylie Jenner all took to their apps to send her birthday wishes on her 66th year and share some sweet never-before-seen family photos. See the pictures and what the girls had to say below.

As Gossip Cop reported, Kylie kicked off the birthday celebration one day early when she took her father out to lunch. During the lunch, the reality TV star snapped a selfie with her father and shared a sweet message that read, “Early birthday lunch with @caitlynjennerHappy birthday dad what an amazing year for you.”

On Wednesday, Kylie continued the birthday love on her app, sharing a 30-second interview with Caitlyn in which the former Olympian joked about being “just one year old,” and admitted she felt “absolutely wonderful” celebrating her “first real birthday.” “I have the love and support of my family. I feel authentic. I feel myself. I’m just loving life,” the birthday beauty continued. “The last six months has been the best years of my life. I’m just very excited about the future.”

Kylie then shared a short post alongside a never-before-seen picture of father and daughter. She wrote, “Happy birthday Dad! I love you so much and am so proud of you! I hope this next year is filled with love and happiness! Love, your baby forever.”

Kim honored Caitlyn by naming her this week’s #WomanCrushWednesday on her app. Next to some glamorous shots of the gold medalist, Kim wrote, “What a brave soul! I’m happy you are living your authentic life! You are my Woman Crush Wednesday. Happy birthday!!!”

The reality TV star also shared another birthday message on Instagram that read, “Happy Birthday Caitlyn! Are you 66 or is Caitlyn 1? lol That was the debate at our bday lunch yesterday! Have the best day ever filled with lots of love & laughs! You have shown me what it’s truly like to live an authentic life without caring what the world would think! I love you!”

Khloe followed sister Kim’s lead, keeping her message short and sweet, “Happy birthday to one of the most inspirational people I know. It’s your first birthday, and I couldn’t be more thrilled for you to celebrate it style. Get glam, girl!”

Kendall recalled some of her fondest memories of her father in a heartwarming birthday message. “Happy birthday to the most wonderful, sweetest person I know!!!” she began. Kendal continued, “You have always been there for me, whether it was teaching me to ride a bike or picking me up from school everyday or just being a shoulder to cry on. You are my hero and the reason I am the person I am today. I’m soooo proud of everything that you’ve been through and accomplished this year. Love you, dad! I hope this birthday is your best one yet. :)”

Ryan Reynolds announced his dad’s death on Twitter on Wednesday, and asked his fans, alongside a picture of his father, to donate to a Parkinson’s foundation. See the photo and Reynolds’ sweet message below.

Below an old photo of his father holding what appears to be Reynolds as a baby, the actor simply wrote, “RIP Pops. James C. Reynolds. 1941-2015,” adding, “If possible, please donate/support: http://www.michaeljfox.org.”

Reynolds revealed his father’s struggle with Parkinson’s Disease in an op-ed for the Huffington Post six years ago, titled “Why I’m Running The New York City Marathon.” In it, he wrote that his father Jim Reynolds had “spent the last 15 years in a life or death struggle with Parkinson’s Disease.”

Since then, the notoriously private actor has been very vocal about the need for more research on the debilitating and ultimately deadly disease, and has worked very close with the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. Reynolds credits the foundation for being an incredible resource for his father and family. The foundation was founded in 2000 by Fox, who has been dealing with Parkinson’s since his diagnosis in 1992, and it aims to find a cure for the disease.
