Leah Remini responded to Katie Holmes’ statement about Scientology and the “King Of Queens” actress’ tell-all, and it seems like both women are focused on the future. During a follow-up interview with ABC on Monday’s “Good Morning America,” Remini said hearing Holmes’ well wishes made her emotional because she now knows why Tom Cruise’s ex-wife had to make the decision to leave, saying, “We’re back to being human now.” Watch what else Remini had to say about Holmes below.

As Gossip Cop reported, Remini said on Friday’s “20/20″ she got “written up” Church of Scientology officials when she told Holmes and then-boyfriend Tom Cruise when they were kissing in his home years ago, “Get a freakin’ room.” ABC then promoted that it had information on Holmes’ take on Scientology, but the former Mrs. Tom Cruise made it clear in a one-sentence statement that she didn’t speak to ABC nor did she want to get involved in Remini’s interview, which was to promote her book, Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology. Holmes said, “I regret having upset Leah in the past,” adding, “and wish her only the best in the future.”

After the “20/20″ interview aired on Friday night, Remini sat down for a second interview that aired on Monday’s “GMA” and admitted how happy she was to hear Holmes’ response. “I’m smiling because it almost makes me want to cry,” Remini said with tears in her eyes after hearing the statement. “It makes me emotional because at the time when Katie and this particular crew were writing reports, it caused me a lot of time and pain in my family, being ‘reprogrammed.’ So, at the time, I was fighting with her,” she continued. “And now I know, really, what she was going through.”

“I had no idea she was going through probably a lot more, and looking back now and seeing her and Suri out there in the world, and her being able to be with her daughter and live her life, I’m touched by it because I know now she did what she did leaving because she had to protect her daughter,” said Remini.

Justin Bieber dropped a “Hotline Bling” remix on Friday, just hours after teasing it on Instagram. Bieber got creative with the Drake song, which he made available to fans who called a hotline number he posted on Twitter and Instagram. Listen to the song below.

Earlier on Friday, Bieber teased the “Hotline Bling” remix on social media with a message that referenced Drake and song. It read, “Should I? Love to my bro@champagnepapi. Canadian boys really doing it. #PURPOSE,” along with “1-800-HOTLINGBLING REMIX.”

A few hours later, Bieber posted a video to Instagram telling fans to call the hotline number he provided on Twitter, “So I have big news. I just put a hotline number on my Twitter so make sure to check it out cause there’s something cool there. Check out. Peace and love.” Bieber added, “Love to my bro@champagnepapi. Call me on my cell phone 231 377 1113 :)”

Fans immediately bombarded the hotline with calls to listen to the remix and tied up the lines, making it impossible for many to get through. Luckily the song soon made it’s way to SoundCloud. The release of the remix comes one day after Bieber had a less fan-friendly moment when he walked off the stage during a performance in Oslo.

Katie Holmes is not appearing on Leah Remini’s “20/20″ interview on Friday to speak out against Scientology, contrary to reports. A number of outlets claimed Holmes sat down with ABC, but the actress released a one-sentence statement denying that, noting she only she “regrets having upset Leah in the past” and “wishes her nothing but the best.” See what else Holmes had to say about Remini below.

As Gossip Cop reported, promos for Remini’s interview show the actress talking about an encounter with Holmes and then-boyfriend Tom Cruise that got her in trouble with the Church of Scientology. In the preview, Remini says that while she was at Cruise’s home once, the actor was “forcibly kissing Katie,” prompting her to remark, “Get a freakin’ room.” That remark, she alleges, got her “written up” by high-ranking Scientology officials.

Friday’s “Good Morning America” teased that viewers would hear finally from Holmes during the Remini interview later on “20/20.” But that’s simply not the case.

In addition to Holmes stating she “regrets having upset Leah in the past,” the actress’ publicist clarified that she did not participate whatsoever in Remini’s interview, which is also to plug her new book, Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology. Holmes’ spokesperson says, “Katie is not making an appearance on the special, nor is she discussing Scientology, or her former marriage.”
