Pregnant 19-Year-Old Marine Wife Erin Corwin Goes Missing In California
(San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department)
A Marine’s pregnant 19-year-old wife has gone missing, prompting a frantic search and suspicions of foul play.
Erin Corwin, who is three months into a pregnancy, was last seen leaving her home in Twentynine Palms, Calif. at approximately 7 a.m. on Saturday, and it’s believed she was on her way to Joshua Tree National Park.
Her husband, Marine Corporal Jonathan Wayne Corwin, reported her missing on Sunday.

On Monday, law enforcement found Erin’s Toyota Corolla at an undisclosed location in Twentynine Palms, but she was nowhere to be found.
Investigators have enlisted the help of about 30 trained search-and-rescue volunteer workers to comb the area for the missing teen.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department has not ruled out foul play.
But the unforgiving terrain Erin had planned to visit may have also played a role.
“Joshua Tree National Park, it’s very rocky, really dangerous areas,” says Detective Marcel Silva of the Sheriff’s Department. “We also have the extreme heat of the desert, wide open desert areas that we’ve also checked.”
The missing woman has no official history of medical or psychological issues.
Lore Heavilin, Erin’s mother, tells KESQ, about hearing the news of the disappearance, “I mean my gut was just tore up, just tore up. And you feel like you’re walking in a nightmare.”
Friends and family have set up a Facebook page called “Locate Erin.”
