Sofia Vergara is firing back at Nick Loeb after her ex-fiance filed a lawsuit alleging that the actress intends to destroy the frozen embryos the former couple created before splitting. After Loeb’s legal maneuverings surfaced earlier this week, the “Modern Family” star responded with a statement through her attorney.

As Gossip Cop reported, Loeb is suing Vergara to “ensure that the female embryos” created with his sperm and her eggs back in 2013 are kept safe, because, according to him, the actress “refuses to agree to their preservation.” His lawsuit also alleges that Vergara physically and verbally abused him.

Now she’s disputing Loeb’s allegations. In a statement to People, Vergara’s lawyer declares, “The claims made against Sofia Vergara by Nick Loeb are incredible and hold no merit. Vergara has never wanted to destroy her embryos.”

“Vergara has never suggested that she wished to have the embryos destroyed,” adds her attorney’s statement. “She has always maintained that they be kept frozen, a fact of which Loeb and his counsel have always been aware, despite Loeb’s statements to the contrary.”

The actress’ lawyer continues, “Vergara, who has happily moved on with her life, is content to leave the embryos frozen indefinitely as she has no desire to have children with her ex, which should be understandable given the circumstances.” Vergara and Loeb split in 2014. Jarret Stoll, Erin Andrews’ hockey player boyfriend, was arrested on suspicion of drug possession in Las Vegas on Friday. According to multiple reports, Stoll allegedly brought cocaine and ecstasy to the Wet Republic pool party at the MGM Grand.

Police say Stoll was taken into custody and and held at the Clark County Detention Center. He has reportedly since posted the $5,000 bail and been released. It’s not clear whether Andrews, the “Dancing with the Stars” co-host and well-known sports reporter, was with Stoll at the time of his bust.

Stoll plays for the Los Angeles Kings. He and Andrews have dated for about three years. Andrews has not commented on the situation. In a statement, the Kings said, “We are aware of police reports out of Clark County, Nevada, regarding Jarret Stoll. Our organization is concerned and has begun conducting a thorough internal investigation. While we continue to actively gather facts, we are withholding further comment at this time.”

There are multiple reports suggesting Stoll was in possession of both cocaine and ecstasy, although the Associated Press is reporting that he was arrested only for the former. Gossip Cop will have updates on Stoll’s legal situation.

Lady Gaga got ticketed in Los Angeles on Friday. Well, actually, it was her driver who was given a ticket by an officer with the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department, apparently for lingering too long in the drop-off area in front of the restaurant Pump, where Gaga was mobbed by fans as she left dinner. Watch the video below.

As Gaga departed the restaurant owned by “Real Housewives” star Lisa Vanderpump, she was surrounded by throngs of admirers, delaying her exit. She was also given a long embrace by Vanderpump herself. Once Gaga finally made it to her passenger seat, a cop strolled up and handed her driver a ticket. The singer did not seem too concerned.

Of course, wading through overzealous fans is nothing new for Gaga. Last month in Paris, a guard protecting the performer put an overzealous supporter in what many outlets called a “chokehold” when the young man got too close to Gaga. There have been previous incidents of physical altercations between Gaga’s security personnel and fans who mob the singer. Nothing violent happened on Friday, but it looks like Gaga’s slow departure from Pump may have led to the traffic violation. Watch the video below.
