Plus: What did she think about Liz’s “Zing” from Zingbot?

She may have not have been able to win the competition, but New Jersey native Meg won the heart of her best friend James. Although there’s no romance between the two, a friendship grew after close to 80 days living together in the Big Brother house. Fittingly, it was both Meg and James who got the boot on Thursday’s episode of the reality series.

Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter the day after her eviction, Meg reveals who’s not getting her vote in the final two and if she threw any competitions along the way.

(Disclosure: Because the nine-person jury is underway, houseguests will now answer the questions via email from THR. It’s stipulated that questions cannot in any way be a potential interference to the game and are required to be approved by production before given to the houseguests.)

What was it about the competitions that left you with only one “Battle of the Block” win this season?

Hahahaha! I’m not one to boast about my athleticism so I knew competitions were not going to be my strongest suit. Also, you don’t expect how nerve-wracking it’s going to be out there since everything is on the line.

Throwing competitions has been used as strategy in the show’s history. Did you throw any of the competitions or did you lose fair and square?

The only competition that I threw was High Maintenance. The rest, sadly, I lost fair and square. I would like to point out that I did not come in last place except in two competitions.

What did you think of Liz’s “Zing” from Zingbot?

Way to go Zingbot for going there! There was a big giant elephant in the room ever since Austin’s “gf” disappeared.

There was a moment where you seemed flirty with Clay. Had Shelli gotten evicted before him, would you have pursued a romantic relationship with him?

Nooooo! Clay is definitely one of my dudes. Love you Clay, but he’s a little too pretty boy for me.

Who will you not vote for in the final two?

Vanessa and Steve.

Who do you think from your season could be seen as an all star and would be asked to play again for an all-star season?

Johnny Mac and James.

Will Johnny Mac and James succeed in a season with all stars? Will Vanessa and Steve lose if they make it to the final two? Chat about it in the comments below and stay tuned to The Live Feed for all things Big Brother

‘Big Brother 17’: A Returning Juror Competition Makes the House Dizzy

August 27, 2015 7:20pm PT by Brian Porreca

The jury twist is back and a player will re-enter the game.  Sonja Flemming/CBS

The jury twist is back and a player will re-enter the game.

“Their game might not be over,” Julie Chen reminds audiences that either Steve or Johnny Mac will get a chance to get back in the game in Big Brother 17‘s tenth live eviction of the summer. “Say goodbye, you don’t got my vote,” Vanessa told Steve in the “Power of Veto” episode, but was he the one sent packing? Chen points out that Vanessa, “has controlled who has gone home week after week.” It looks like her bigger threat was the rock star dentist Johnny Mac as opposed to the super fan genius Steve. “Their decision could backfire on them,” Chen reminds audiences as now Johnny Mac, Becky, Jackie, and Shelli have one shot to get back in the game.

Here are the most memorable moments from this season’s (almost) tenth live eviction:

Cry, cry, and cry again. Zingbot pointed out her crying game, and after her veto speech she lived up to the zing. Are Vanessa’s tears really strategy or is she starting to lose it? It’s a little bit of both. The way she talks down to Steve though comes off as bullying. She may have kept Steve over Johnny Mac because she’s able to corner and intimidate the trombonist from New York. He has admitted to being awkward, but has built confidence since entering the house even playing a game he has never played before: truth or dare. So how is anyone going to root for the professional poker player who is trying to knock him down? Will she end up playing like Amanda from season 15 or are her tears a nod to Dan Gheesings funeral? Well, it’s definitely not the latter. So if she doesn’t make it to the final two, she could experience some boos on eviction night.

Prank his way to finale night. “Dodged a bullet on that one,” says James after he avoided the block this week. One of the reasons Austin and the twins didn’t take a shot at James this week is because they admitted on the live feeds that they have a lot of fun with him and Meg. Speaking of Meg. . . “I bet you have a great shower voice,” James tells her, joking around as he has done all summer. He’s not different at home either, but his friends admit that he’ll need another ally besides Meg to ensure his safety. They also joke about his love for chick flicks. Has this season just been a romcom starring Meg and James? Maybe. All fans can agree that either way James is the leading man and could take half a million dollars home.

The loudest cheers of the summer. Of course the audience gets loud for the fan favorite of the summer, Johnny Mac.  “They went insane for him,” Julia points out. The live audience’s fandom was almost as loud as Johnny Mac’s diary room sessions all summer long. “A lot of people don’t take me seriously,” Johnny Mac tells Julie. Well, lucky for him they might have to start taking him seriously because he could end up back in the game.

The sweetest confrontation. Johnny Mac and Liz both eating peaches while having somewhat of a confrontation is an indirect shout out to this season’s Georgia peach, Shelli. Before the close of the live eviction, she looked like she had the best shot at winning the endurance competition and both getting back in the game and winning HoH for the week. Who didn’t? Julia, Meg, and Steve were the first three who fell off.

Who do you think has the best shot at getting back in the game? Is Vanessa bullying Steve? Who should James align with other than Meg? Sound off in the comments section and take THR‘s poll to vote for who has the best shot at winning the entire game.

‘Big Brother 17’: Third Juror Talks About Being in Too Much Pain to Campaign

August 21, 2015 11:42am PT by Brian Porreca

THR talks to the ninth evicted houseguest of the summer.  Courtesy of CBS

THR talks to the ninth evicted houseguest of the summer.

She survived getting hit in the face with a train, so it’s a surprise that it came down to a toe injury that made it too painful for Becky to campaign. If this season’s houseguests used her injury to their advantage her game would have stayed on the rails.

She does have a shot next week though to get back in the game. Will her and Johnny Mac make it to the end if she gets back in and is there any romance between the two? Who will definitely not have the third juror’s vote if she’s stuck in the jury house? Here Becky tells The Hollywood Reporter about never getting flashbacks after her train accident and if there will be any drama down the road without this season’s biggest personalities Audrey, Da’Vonne, and Jace left in the game.

(Disclosure: Because the nine-person jury is underway, houseguests will now answer questions via email from THR. It’s stipulated that questions cannot in any way be a potential interference to the game and are required to be approved by production before given to the houseguests.)

What was going through your head when you had the train accident, as well as days after?

You just have to wonder if your brain is going to be ok and function as it should, taking it one step at a time.  I’m a person that likes steps and routine so I just needed to follow this one through.

Do you still get flashbacks of the accident and did you get any in the house?

No, not at all.  Never have.

You won $10,000 in prizes will that all go towards medical bills? What else will you put it towards?

I had to use my savings to pay for my medical bills so this will help me to not live paycheck to paycheck.

Without Jace, Audrey, and Da’Vonne do you still predict any big fights or drama in the final weeks of the game?

Potentially because the stakes get higher as the prize money gets closer.

Who out of the remaining houseguests, if they are in the final two will definitely NOT have your vote as a juror?

I wouldn’t say as of now anyone wouldn’t have my vote.  Except for Julia.  Liz seems like she’s there to play, Julia seems like she’s just there for the twist.  Liz’ head is in the game whereas Julia is in the back painting her nails.

What was you and Johnny Mac’s relationship really like, any possibility of romance outside of the game?

He reminds me of my best friend back home.  He’s really quiet but has a really random sense of humor.  But no possibility of romance outside of the game.

You injured your toe, did you campaign to the houseguests to keep you because you can’t compete as hard now?

The pain was bad enough that any form of campaigning became very difficult since the recovery time was unknown.

Do you think because you weren’t an original super fan it hurt your game in anyway? [Editor’s Note: Becky was recruited to be on the show after being discovered on the dating app, Tinder]

It’s hard to tell but I did watch six full seasons before coming onto the show and studying it as if I were playing.  I had a good idea of the game and the type of player I wanted to be.

Do you think the rest of the season will be boring without Jace, Audrey, and Da’Vonne? Who is most likely to get into a fight? Were you surprised there will be no romance for her and Johnny Mac?
