David Hasselhoff’s Wacky Memorabilia Auction

Screen-Used Oversized Hasselhoff Model

Baywatch legend, German pop music icon, reality star: Who wouldn’t want a piece of The Hoff?

David Hasselhoff is auctioning of items from his personal archive at Julien’s Auctions in Beverly Hills on April 11-12. Think of it as a celebrity yard sale. And there’s lots of wacky stuff up for sale.

The coolest item is the actor’s personal Knight Rider KITT car. This version of the iconic 1986 Pontiac Firebird wasn’t used on the the hit 1982-1986 NBC show. Its a replica that was made by fans and given to Hasselhoff as a a gift. The car has the same scissor doors and w-style yoke steering wheel of the original. It also comes pre-programmed to speak over 4,000 sound bites from the show and has a “oh kitt” vanity plate. Estimate: $30,000=$50,000.

If a full-size KITT care is out of your budget, Hasselhoff is selling his replica KITT golf cart, which he used to drive his kid’s around on Halloween and for soccer practice. (Yes, the auction catalog really says “soccer practice.) It comes with a faux California “Knight” license plate and a Panasonic sound system. Proceeds from this sale are going to be donated to the Starlight Children’s Foundation Children’s Foundation. The estimate for this is a modest $2,000-$4,000.

The wackiest item up for auction is an oversized (better than life-sized!) model of Hasselhoff in Baywatch swim trunks stretched to like he’s gliding across the water that comes mounted on a rolling metal rack. It was used as a prop in the 2004 SpongeBob Squarepants movie. Model Hasselhoff is sporting a very weird and almost psychotic grin. Put a glass top on it and this would make the creepiest coffee table ever. Estimate: $20,000-$30,000.

Hasselhoff is also selling some of his personal clothes, including an epic full-length denim coat with fringe (est. $400-$600), a tie-dye shirt (est. $100-$200) and a denim jacket with Disney characters, what looks like bicycle water bottle holder pockets on the back and a big “H” logo on on the front ($300-$500).

Other Baywatch memorabilia includes signed Ken and Barbie dolls (est. $600-$800), a pinball machine ($1,000-$2,000) and screen-used Adidas jackets (est. $1,000-$2,000).

Hasselhoff and his memorabilia are also featured on Lifetime’s new Celebrity Home Raiders unscripted series starring Darren Julien and Martin Nolan of Julien’s Auctions.

‘Game of Thrones’: George R.R. Martin Leaks New ‘Winds of Winter’ Chapter

Game of Thrones Season 4 Trailer Teaser Screengrab - H 2014

Screengrab/HBO

Game of Thrones author George R.R. Martin rewarded fans by posting a new chapter from the long-gestating book six in the popular series. Titled “Mercy” the excerpt from Winds of Winter can be found on his personal blog

Here’s how Martin sets it up:

“The new chapter is actually an old chapter. But no, it’s not one I’ve published or posted before, and I don’t even think I’ve read it at a con (could be wrong there, I’ve done readings at so many cons, it all tends to blur together). So it’s new in that it is material that no one but my editors (well, and Parris, and David and Dan, and a few others) have ever seen before, but it’s old in that it was written a long time ago, predating any of the samples that you have seen. The first draft was, at any rate. I’ve rewritten it a dozen times since then.”

We won’t spoil it anymore than this. Go read it.

Martin also wrote that an earlier chapter — “Arianne” — that he posted on the blog a few months ago would be taken down.

Season 4 of HBO’s hit adaptation of Game of Thrones debuts April 6.
