‘House of Lies’ Books Newcomer for Recurring Role (Exclusive)

Showtime's House of Lies is adding a devout Christian character to its ranks.

Newcomer Brad Schmidt has joined the Don Cheadle comedy, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. He'll play JC Butterman, for a recurring role as a handsome devout Christian with an arrogant swagger.

He becomes the latest addition to the third season of the ensemble comedy about a management consultants. Happy Endings alum Eliza Coupewill recur alongside Mekhi Phifer (ER) and Genevieve Angelson as Caitlyn, a love interest for Doug (Josh Lawson). 

Schmidt recently completed filming the Jaume Collet-Serra-produced Eden opposite Ethan Peck and Nate Parker. He's repped by Corner Booth Entertainment.

Production on season three starts this month for a Jan. 12 premiere.
