THR’s Guide to the Emmys Broadcast

It's almost time for the 65th annual Primetime Emmy Awards, which will begin broadcasting live at 5 p.m. PST Sunday on CBS, with the ceremony taking place at the Nokia Theatre in downtown Los Angeles. There's also a pre-broadcast from the red carpet airing an hour earlier.

Neil Patrick Harris returns to host a show that will feature presenters Michael Douglas, Matt Damon, Tina Fey, Jimmy Fallon, Jon Hamm, Bob Newhart, Bryan Cranston, Claire Danes, Emily Deschanel, Zooey Deschanel, Amy Poehler, Sofia Vergara, Kerry Washington and more.

Predict the Winners With THR's Emmys Ballot

Going into the Academy of Television Arts & Science-sponsored awards, FX anthology series American Horror Story leads the pack with 17 nominations, while HBO's Game of Thrones follows with 16. NBC's Saturday Night Live and HBO's Behind the Candelabra go into the show with 15 nominations each.

There will be tributes to late TV stars including  Glee's Cory Monteith, The Sopranos' James Gandolfini, Jean Stapleton of All in the Family, Family Ties producer Gary David Goldberg and comedian Jonathan Winters.

The Hollywood Reporter will be providing full coverage of the show's big events, including what the nominees and winners are saying backstage and on the red carpet, as well as analysis of the big wins, upsets and snubs.
