Survivor topped broadcast network offerings on Wednesday night, returning to CBS for its 27th season and 400th episode. The 90-minute episode averaged a 2.6 rating among adults 18-49 according to Fast National returns -- and while that is up a notch from last spring's cycle (2.4 adults), the show was down 17 percent from last fall (3.1 adults).

The finale of Big Brother (2.4 adults) was at a low for the franchise, though only one-tenth of a point off from last year. CBS topped the night with an average 2.5 rating among adults 18-49. The network also pulled 8.1 million viewers.
Airing a full two-hour episode after last week's abbreviated Wednesday premiere, The X Factor held even on Fox. The series averaged a 2.2 rating with adults 18-49 and 6.6 million viewers.
NBC kicked off the night with the penultimate outing of Million Second Quiz (1.2 adults), improving a tenth of a point from Tuesday. The finale of America's Got Talent was up week-to-week and managed to grow by a tenth from last summer's ender, posting a 2.5 rating among adults 18-49. The series (11.3 million viewers) helped drive NBC to a win in viewers (9.2) and third-place status in the demo with a 2.0 rating.

A block of repeats filled ABC's night ahead of next week's premieres, netting an average 1.0 rating with adults 18-49 and 3.5 million viewers.
