Awkward creator Lauren Iungerich has sold her second project this development season.
The writer/executive producer has set up Bitch Off the 'Ol Block as a put pilot at NBC, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
Iungerich will reteam with former MTV programming president David Janollari for the single-camera comedy, via the latter's recent three-year overall deal with Universal Television.

Bitch revolves around a young professional woman whose life is turned upside down when her biological daughter -- who turns out to be a younger, smart-ass version of herself -- moves in with her and her roommates. "It takes a village" suddenly takes on a whole new meaning in the ensemble comedy about a group of friends who become an unorthodox surrogate family.
Iungerich will pen the script and executive produce alongside Janollari. During his run at MTV's head or programming, Janollari was instrumental in shepherding Awkward through the development process to become the cable network's longest-running original scripted comedy.
This marks Iungerich's second sale this development season. ABC previously picked up her first broadcast project -- Damaged Goods, a single-camera comedy exploring sexual politics -- with a pilot production commitment. Damaged hails from Warner Bros. Television, where the former Awkward creator has a blind script deal.
The sales mark Iungerich's first following her June exit as showrunner of Awkward. She parted ways with the series she created after completing production on the supersized third season of the comedy.

Beyond Awkward, Iungerich developed pilot Hot Mess for the younger-skewing cabler, which was redeveloped twice after its previous incarnation Dumb Girls was passed over at the network. Hot Mess was first developed under Janollari, who was replaced by Lifetime vet Susanne Daniels in November. Daniels picked up Hot Mess to series but opted not to move forward with the project after Iungerich exited that project as the showrunner's voice was the heart of the show.
Iungerich is repped by WME, Robyn Meisinger at Madhouse Entertainment and McKuin Frankel Whitehead.
For Janollari, this marks his latest sale this development season. Most recently, he sold a comedy to CBS executive produced by his longtime friend and former ABC president Steve McPherson.
