Covert Affairs is dipping into the CSI pool.
Former CSI: Miami star Jonathan Togo has been recruited for the fourth season of USA's international spy drama, which already counts CSI: NY alum Hill Harper as a regular, The Hollywood Reporter has learned exclusively.
Set to appear in the second half of the season, Togo will play Nelson Smith, an associate of Henry Wilcox (Gregory Itzin). His double-dipping is a cause for concern, as Nelson is also a family man. CIA operative Annie Walker's (Piper Perabo) ability to turn assets is put to the test when she encounters Nelson.
Covert Affairs, which wraps up the first 10 episodes on Sept. 17 and returns for the remaining six installments Oct. 17, also stars Christopher Gorham, Kari Matchett and Peter Gallagher. The Universal Cable Productions series comes from Matt Corman and Chris Ord, who are executive producers along with Doug Liman, David Bartis, Gene Klein and Stephen Kay.
Repped by Gersh and TMT Management, Togo is best known as Ryan Wolfe on CSI: Miami, a role he played for eight seasons before the series ended in 2012. Since then, he has appeared in Harry's Law, the Nick Offerman indie Someone Up There Likes Me and the thriller Identical.
