- Taylor Swift and Kacey Musgraves lead the CMA Awards nominations
- Each singer/songwriter has six nods
- This is Musgraves first time being nominated for the CMA Awards
- The ceremony will air live on ABC November 6
(CNN) -- Kacey Musgraves may be a first-time CMA Awards nominee, but she has more than enough nods to make up for any lost time.
The 25-year-old country singer, who released her debut album, "Same Trailer Different Park," in March, leads the pack of this year's CMA nominees along with country-pop queen bee Taylor Swift. Both singer/songwriters boast six nods a piece for the 47th annual ceremony.
Musgraves will compete for album of the year, single of the year, female vocalist of the year and new artist of the year. She's also nominated twice in the song of the year category, which recognizes the songwriters.
Swift, meanwhile, will vie for the album of the year honor with her chart-topping "Red" in addition to female vocalist of the year and entertainer of the year. Her work with Tim McGraw and Keith Urban on "Highway Don't Care" snagged the 23-year-old recognition in the single of the year, song of the year and musical event of the year categories as well.
For the entertainer of the year title, Swift will face-off with last year's winner, Blake Shelton, who earned five nominations this time around. His wife, Miranda Lambert, earned three along with another two with her group Pistol Annies.
The 47th annual CMA Awards will again be hosted by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood (it's the sixth time, for those counting) and will air live from Nashville on ABC, November 6.
