President Obama is set for multiple television interviews on Monday to make the case for authorizing military force against Syria.
The president "will tape interviews on Monday afternoon with three network news anchors, as well as with PBS, CNN and FOX," according to a White House pool report that cites a White House official.
In remarks made last Saturday, Obama called for Congress to vote on whether to approve a military strike against Syria's Bashar al-Assad regime.
"This would not be an open-ended intervention. We would not put boots on the ground. Instead, our action would be designed to be limited in duration and scope," the president clarified at the time.
Last Sunday, Secretary of State John Kerry appeared on five political talk shows to bolster the administration's case.
