Kerry's scheduled appearances follow Saturday's remarks by President Barack Obama that he will seek congressional authorization for a limited strike on Syria after alleged chemical weapons use by the Bashar al-Assad administration.
"Now, after careful deliberation, I have decided that the United States should take military action against Syrian regime targets," Obama stated in a 10-minute statement Saturday. "This would not be an open-ended intervention."
On Friday, Kerry laid out the case for potential action against Syria in a State Department address. "The primary question is really no longer: What do we know? The question is: What are we – we collectively – what are we in the world going to do about it?" he stated.
