While Miley Cyrus was busy twerking onstage during a controversial performance at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, Aug. 25, another famous face was showing off a different set of fit moves on the red carpet just hours earlier.

Richard Simmons, exercise guru extraordinaire, showed off his flexible yoga moves on the red carpet in front of Brooklyn's Barclays Center on Sunday, telling onlookers that "music is therapy!" before bursting out in his own rendition of "You Are So Beautiful."

Simmons, 65, even gave Katy Perry a kiss on her hand when the two bumped into each other just outside the awards show. The fitness guru was at the awards ceremony after releasing a song and lyric video for song "Hair Do" earlier this month.
