Ellie Goulding and Ed Sheeran are being linked romantically after they were spotted touching at Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards.
A number of less than reliable outlets, including Perez Hilton (see right), jumped to conclusions after the apparent PDA was caught on camera.
But Goulding was quick to squash the rumors.
She tweeted, “I love that holding hands with my friends means we’re an item. In that case I am in many relationships. Lover not a hater. #whatthef*ck.”
Consider the “new couple alert” officially dead.
