Kanye West will not face felony charges for last month’s paparazzi scuffle at LAX airport — but he’s not completely in the clear.
On Friday, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office announced that it will not prosecute the rapper in connection with the July 19 incident in which West lunged at a photographer.
However, the case will be passed to the City Attorney for potential misdemeanor charges.
Prosecutors with the District Attorney indicated that the paparazzo did not sustain serious injury, and that the extent of damage to his camera was not clear.
Additionally, West used no weapon and has no felony criminal record.
