Chris Brown made waves on Twitter early Tuesday.
“Don’t worry mainstream America.After this X album, it’ll probably be my last album,” announced the performer, just hours after he turned himself into jail — and was released — in connection with a hit-and-run incident.
Brown then tweeted, “Being famous is amazing when it’s for ur music and talent. I’m tired of being famous for a mistake I made when i was 18. I’m cool & over it!”
Of course, whether Brown actually stops making music in the future remains to be seen, especially given that he’s just 24 years old and has millions of fans who would likely keep supporting his career.
