Poetry has long been a part of the Breaking Bad storytelling process, with works by Walt Whitman often playing significant roles in the series.
But in the latest teaser for the final eight episodes, the show's similarly named anti-hero, Walter White, recites Percy Bysshe Shelley's Ozymandias.

The clip features Bryan Cranston's voice reciting the poem over images of the New Mexico desert, Albuquerque and even the Whites' house, much like the silent shots that often open episodes.
But, it soon becomes clear that the theme of the poem is quite similar to the "Remember My Name" logo that graces ads for Breaking Bad's final episodes and its words could hint at White's fate.

"On the pedestal, these words appear, 'My name is Ozymandias, king of kings. Look on my works ye mighty and despair,' " Cranston recites, his voice reaching a Heisenberg-like level of intensity.
The series of images ends with a shot of a hat, much like the one White's character often wears, alone in the desert.
The final eight episodes of Breaking Bad premiere on Aug. 11 on AMC.
