“Hawaii Five-0″ star Alex O’Loughlin is temporarily leaving the series to seek treatment for prescription pill use.
His rep tells Gossip Cop in a statement, “Alex is taking a short break from ‘Hawaii Five-0′ to receive supervised treatment for prescription pain medication due to a recent shoulder injury.”
The CBS remake, which also stars Scott Caan and Daniel Dae Kim, is still expected to complete its second season as scheduled, with O’Loughlin returning before production ends.
O’Loughlin’s leave was first reported by Deadline.
