The best place to be a gamer? Denmark.
Over at GamePointsNow, Simon Ward has calculated how long someone paid average wages in twelve developed nations would have to work in order to afford a brand new video game at retail. He took into account average salary after tax, plus local game prices in order to create a kind of Big Mac Index for gamers.
The gamers with the most purchasing power? Danes.

The average Dane needs to work only two and a half hours to be able to afford a new video game. That's the same amount of time it takes to watch Zero Dark Thirty.
(Perhaps unsurprisingly, Denmark annually ranks as one of the world's happiest nations.)
