“Glee” has released a statement on Cory Monteith’s shocking death.
The show’s producers and FOX posted a message on the “Glee” Twitter account which reads, “We are deeply saddened by this tragic news. Cory was an exceptional talent and an even more exceptional person.”
“He was a true joy to work with and we will all miss him tremendously. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones,” added the executives.
As Gossip Cop previously reported, Monteith was found dead at a Vancouver hotel room on Saturday.
His death has rocked Hollywood.
Monteith entered rehab for substance abuse in March, and left a month later.
The actor’s struggles date back to his teen years, with the TV star revealing in a 2011 interview with Parade that he first started abusing drugs when he was 13.
We will continue to update.
