Jennifer Lopez and Jason Bateman are among the film stars who have been asked to join the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in 2013.
The esteemed organization, which hosts the Oscars, made its annual announcement on Friday, with Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Lucy Liu, Chris Tucker, Milla Jovovich, and many more also earning the honor.

Other noteworthy names include Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke, Paul Feig, the filmmaker behind Bridesmaids and The Heat, and “Girls” creator-star Lena Dunham for her writing work.
