Brian Austin Green
Brian Austin Green is heading back to Anger Management.
The actor, who most recently starred on TBS' short-lived The Wedding Band, has joined the FX comedy as a new series regular, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
Green, who guest starred as Sean, the boyfriend of Sheen's ex-wife Jen (Shawnee Smith) will play reprise his role and be the new foil to Charlie Sheen's character on the Lionsgate TV-produced comedy. He joins the series shortly after Selma Blair was dismissed from the series following a clash with Sheen.
The role is one of two new additions FX is making to the series. Anger Management is also casting for a new female actress to replace Blair's character, searching for a "gorgeous, sexy" Latina or Caucasian actress in her 30s or 40s to play an as yet unnamed by-the-book psychiatrist who joins the sex study research Charlie (Sheen) and Kate were working on before she left.

The new female role, which will likely start with a multiple-episode guest role, is further described as "if Charlie and Kate were like Sam and Diane on Cheers, then you are Rebecca. Tough, career driven, neurotic and you wear your heart on your sleeve. And you hate yourself for eventually becoming attracted to Charlie.
Sources tell THR that Sheen dismissed Blair from the series with a strongly worded text message in which he called the actress a "c---." The feud between Sheen and Blair started when she questioned his work ethic on the series. The show films two episodes per week and often finds Sheen with more than 40 pages of dialogue per script.

Filming on the series is roughly a third of the way through its 90-episode second season order. Sources tell THR that Blair's exit will not impact production of the series, which will continue on as planned. Anger Management still has 60 episodes left to produce.
Green, whose credits also include Beverly Hills, 90210 is repped by ICM Partners and McKuin Frankel.
