AMC is going into the seedy Detroit underworld with rookie drama Low Winter Sun, and the promotional poster for the remake of the 2006 British miniseries of the same name is as killer as one would expect.
Mark Strong reprises his role as Detective Frank Agnew in the contemporary story of murder, deception, revenge and corruption in a world where the line between cops and criminals is blurred. The series begins with the murder of a cop by a fellow Detroit detective in what seems like the perfect crime. However, the slaying activates forces that alter one detective's life and pull him into the heart of the Detroit underworld.
Chris Mundy (Criminal Minds, Cold Case) serves as writer, exec producer and showrunner on the series. Endemol's Jeremy Gold and Greg Brenman are also exec producing the drama, which co-stars The Walking Dead fan favorite Lennie James.
