Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard have always vowed to finally get married only when their gay friends could legally wed as well.
It appears that time is now upon us, with the Supreme Court overturning California’s Proposition 8 on Wednesday, ending the state’s ban on gay marriage.
(The Court also struck down the Defense of Marriage Act, which means homosexual couples can now receive the same federal benefits as heterosexual ones.)
After the news broke of the Court’s rulings, Bell tweeted, “.@daxshepard1 will you marry me? Xo #marriageequality #loveislove”
Bell and Shepard have been engaged since 2010, and welcomed daughter Lincoln in March.
