The X Factor auditions are on at the Lakefront Arena in New Orleans, and Simon Cowell is already making predictions about the outcome of the show.
“It’s gonna be all about girl groups this year,” the salty Brit said as cameras rolled for season three. The program tweeted some of the action on its official Twitter account Tuesday.

Another big surprise at the Louisiana taping included the return of Panda Ross, the 42-year-old Texas soul singer who impressed Cowell last season with her big vocals, but was carried out on a stretcher shortly after her audition. Television audiences are going to have to wait until the Fox singing competition's premiere to see if the beloved hopeful gets another shot.
Cowell, who was delayed by rain and traffic at the South Carolina auditions, arrived promptly and without drama alongside the other three judges: Paulina Rubio, Kelly Rowland and Demi Lovato.
And what can we expect to see this fall from the New Orleans rounds? More classic Cowell.
After one act apparently bombed, Rubio tried to be diplomatic, saying she had “nothing to say at all.”
The ever quotable Cowell didn’t miss a beat.
“I do,” he hissed. “You are both awful singers."
