"Good Luck Charlie"
Disney Channel is closing the books on Good Luck Charlie.
The live-action, half-hour comedy will end after it wraps up production on the current fourth season, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed. The rest of the episodes are expected to air through 2014.
“ 'That’s a wrap’ will be called on the production after four years with creators/executive producers Phil Baker and Drew Vaupen and executive producer Dan Staley," Disney Channel said in a statement to THR. "The cast and crew are superb, they deserve tribute for their work and we will look forward to the big finale episode the creative team is planning.”
Good Luck Charlie centers on the Duncan family, who are adjusting to the birth of their fourth child, Charlotte "Charlie" Duncan. Bridgit Mendler, Leigh-Allyn Baker, Bradley Steven Perry, Mia Talerico, Eric Allan Kramer and Jason Doilley co-star in the series, which aired the TV movie Good Luck Charlie: It's Christmas Time! in December 2011 that drew nearly 7 million viewers to its premiere telecast.
Currently Good Luck Charlie is filming a crossover episode with Jessie. The cast of Good Luck Charlie is scheduled to attend Disney's D23 Expo in Anaheim in August.
